Applications for settlement

The rules on settlement can be complex and not everyone who hopes to settle will be eligible to do so. A skilled worker may for example have worked continuously in the UK for five years but be earning insufficient money at the time of application. The Home Office fees for making an application are high and will not be refunded if an application is refused. We can advise on the detail of the immigration rules and can complete and submit applications and supporting documents. It may be more cost-effective for an Applicant to complete an application and for us to check it before it is submitted.

Settlement – or indefinite leave to remain- is an essential status for those hoping to naturalise as British citizens. We will advise on the additional criteria to be met when applying to become British in the future, and on the pitfalls to watch out for when preparing to apply.
